I can actually do that at the next LUG, I will prepare a presentation. I
have installed the update-accelerator and the advanced-proxy, in the
last 45min since your email. I think I am all setup now.

Stephen,
Could you do one on your ISPConfig setup? (and i would recommend
including http://update-accelerator.advproxy.net/ into that, as it
covers caching M$ winblows update caching, which is a major pain in the
somewhere)
There is a launch of the Makerere Chapter coming friday, so we could do
the regular monthly event on the 26th @Mountbatten?

Reinier,
With those points, I agree with you. The pains are part of the fun.
Kiggs can you create a presentation on your experiences running the LUG
forum?

Subject: Re: [LUG] Mailing List - Google Groups as an Option?
- its hosted abroad, whuch is besides the Uganda part of the Uganda LUG
- it has advertisements
- its just not geek.
- it will not solve the issue of having the website integrate with the
mailinglist.
- it will prevent us from learning how stuff works. We had patches posted
here, advise for kiggs to solve it, pointers and eh, mistakes made.
But you
cant learn anything without making mistakes (and kiggs explaining what
went
wrong was a lesson learned for us all, so kudos for that.)
(and to shamelessly plug our own mailinglist platform, why not host it (in
country) at www.pamoya.com then? )
