Hi, We are approaching the last friday of the month, so a good time to plan this months LUG meeting.
Are there any subjects that people would like to present about? From our side we can present about the technologies we used to power www.ugandawatch2011.org. We (Simon, Jan & myself) can do that from a lot of different angles - The map (and how we got the data & the graphs) - The workflow & architecture and what we learned from not using Ushahidi - Managingnews & Drupal stuff (or setting up the basis in 10 minutes) - The 8(!) servers we ended up using, including cloud computers, openvz, apache tuning etc. - The mini-Content Delivery Network we setup for local delivery of static content. We learned so much from doing this project, that presenting on friday will probably not be the last time we will talk about this, so am totally cool with any other sessions that people propose. -- rgds, Reinier Battenberg Director Mountbatten Ltd. +256 758 801 749 www.mountbatten.net -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
