When working with asterisk in the past, what I used to do is store CDRs for all my asterisk boxes in a centralized PostgreSQL database. Then I wrote some perl scripts to give me stats on a daily/weekly/monthly basis via a cron job that would email the output to the relevant people.
Hope that can be a good starting point.
