Stick with zimbra!! I use it as an exchange alternative and it works quite well. And the end users dont notice the difference at all.
I use z-push to add full active sync functionality for iphones, android and blackberry. I use Funambol sync server to handle blackberry devices sync for address book, tasks and calendar. While using IMAP for email Funambol outlook client also has the same functionailty and syncs, contacts, calendar, tasks whilst using IMAP for email. With the Zimbra server, z-push active sync and Funambol blackberry/outlook sync. The exchange servers in my corp serving 14 different email domains and about 700 users have been replaced without anyone noticing a major difference. On top of that all the server side software is FREEE!
