hmm, Revman has this http://ims.cochrane.org/revman/download, along with instructions for installation.
SPSS 19 does have http://users.ox.ac.uk/~richardc/guides/SPSSforLinux.html, I doubt there's much difference between installation instructions for ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04, they should work. However you could also tell him that there is another Statistical Environment called R (http://www.r-project.org/) very popular with Academics like the lecturer and those who really like to slice and dice or dig into their data. Almost forgot to mention that it has 2 or 3 popular GUIs (Rcmdr(www.rcommander.com/), Rkward(rkward.sf.net/) and Rstudio(rstudio.org)) and that can let you point and click your way to the same stuff in spss and more. regards Joachim _______________________________________________ The Uganda Linux User Group: http://linux.or.ug Send messages to this mailing list by addressing e-mails to: [email protected] Mailing list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Mailing list settings: http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug To unsubscribe: http://kym.net/mailman/options/lug The Uganda LUG mailing list is generously hosted by INFOCOM: http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
