LUG [@ Simon & Kyle],
I have checked out http://www.geekconnection.org/remastersys/ but from what I
have just read (Quick read through for instructions) it seems the remastersys
ISO files available for download are bootable dvd versions which I have to use
to copy my system (Literally speaking). I am looking for an application with a
GUI that can allow me customize to what suites my novice friends, I am a novice
as well I believe with a stronger left hand.

Subject: [LUG] Help needed on how to install .tar.gz or .tar.bz files on Ubuntu
10.04 (Updated)

Hi LUG,
I am  having trouble installing all programs I have downloaded with the
extensions: .tar.gz or .tar.bz
Can I get some help  on this. I am trying to install UCK (Ubuntu Customization
Kit) so i can make copies of my updated

system and distribute them to myn friends since they have trouble with running
commands. If there is another way to do it

please advise. Thanx
