What he was the first to realise, was that to most people in the world
style was more important than functionality. Before the first macs it
was generally accepted that computers had to be ugly beige boxes that
you hid either in your office or your bedroom. He realised that people
would pay a premium for inferior technology if it had style, and was
marketed correctly.

Their commercials are still used as teaching guides at many
universities, especially this
