But in markets where perception and public opinion is everything, this counts. A lot. Sponsors deserted Tiger Woods, not because of his scandal, but because they didn't want Averge Joe to associate their products with the scandal, for fear of losing Average Joe's business. Unfortunately, in this case, you really can't say that the scandal doesn't affect his game, nor does it give the sponsors' products more or less quality; but you get my point :-). Mark.
