I use Compiz Expo and group open applications logically by workspace. I configure Expo so that I can easily summon the Expo view by clicking Mouse2 (i.e. right-click) in any corner of my screen (e.g. top-right, bottom-left). This way I never have to touch the keyboard to switch workspaces.
