Yeah, he/she'll care, for a moment.

Take into consideration the product life cycle for most such
gadgets. It's getting to less than 6 months these days :(

A new device with updated OS (and those missed niceties) will be
here by the time user starts to even think of caring. And
he/she'll buy new device.
