We all did/do that, but it was a lot easier when phones weren't "so smart". Moreover, getting a new phone because it "looks cool" is a better reason than replacing my already "cool" phone just so I can get the latest OS. It's even harder now that times are getting harder for most. My wife has a Blackberry Bold 9780 which will only support Blackberry OS 6. I understand that if she wants to use OS 7, she has to buy a newer model. Well, the smart phone vendors certainly have a profitable model. Mark.
