Whoops, I meant to clarify immediately after starting this thread that I
used to live in Kampala, but am currently living in Kigali, where there is
a nascent, growing software development community. After living here for 4
months, I've managed to meet a few female KIST (Kigali Institute of Science
& Technology) computer science graduates, but sadly I've yet to encounter
any of them, or any women living in Rwanda working in technology, for
example at events such as KODEVE (a weekly code gathering run by
CODEPAC<http://www.facebook.com/groups/codepac/>
).

I would love any wisdom to share or suggestions (WOUGNET is probably a good
start, thanks for the reminder, Benjamin!) to help cultivate a community of
women within this growing and evolving community.

Thanks!
Sue
