I think many freedom movements will point at Ethiopia as an example of what can go wrong if governments are permitted to butt in all too much.
Now, this is only conjecture, but I guess you'd be off the hook (pardon the pun) as long as you don't answer the incoming call. I'm more interested in what manner of idiots passed this law, and how they think they could ever enforce it. There are several obfuscation methods in use right now, for those who don't already use an off-country VPN service already of course.
