Am with Reinier here. Those guys PAY for the data causing Ugandans to sit on
it in hopes that other researchers
will also pay (it paid once didn't it).

Well, the fact that we found the data means they are not hiding it. And the
fact they have it, is for a big chunk caused by the fact that they
payed/loaned money for it. 

 

 

They are also working very hard on encouraging the UG government to open up
more raw data, in open format, themselves. 

 

Its a long process, but its surely the track we are on.

 

And all thanks to Tim Berners-Lee! Yeah for Tim!

All this data is available, one just needs to know where to get it from.
World bank and the like know where to get it from or whom to ask about it. I
