There is this new thing called PowerShell that is fast catching up with the
likes of Bash and Ksh but the
problem is, the current crop of windows users are feeble. I too use command
line in Linux. I once
even ported the more common file/pc management Linux commands to windows xp
and life
was good for a while.

The gui is important. I even install gnome desktop environment on all my
servers. But the command line is still critical for getting things done in
my day to day activities. I often wish windows dos prompt was as robust as a
linux console is.

 

At the end the blogger is right. Nothing that is intended for the average
consumer should force them to do something from the command line or
console!!! Leave that for the PROS!
