There is this new thing called PowerShell that is fast catching up with the likes of Bash and Ksh but the problem is, the current crop of windows users are feeble. I too use command line in Linux. I once even ported the more common file/pc management Linux commands to windows xp and life was good for a while.

The gui is important. I even install gnome desktop environment on all my servers. But the command line is still critical for getting things done in my day to day activities. I often wish windows dos prompt was as robust as a linux console is. At the end the blogger is right. Nothing that is intended for the average consumer should force them to do something from the command line or console!!! Leave that for the PROS!
