Not all media is rated to burn at the speed your DVD can go hence it generates
mistakes.

Subject: [LUG] OT- Burn speed for iso images

Hi,

Something I found really strange happened to me today, after repeatedly burning
a 7GB iso image to a DVD unsuccessfully (the image would burn/copy
successfully, but the subsequent installation off the same DVD returned
errors), someone who had earlier experienced this advised that I change the
burning speed, and this worked. he didn't know why, and neither do I. Anyone
have an idea why or how the speed at which the image was/is copied affects the
actual content on the disc thereafter?

Regards
