I must disagree here. It may perhaps be reckless for a commercial page, but I see no reason not to go homespun on a personal page. How else would you learn anything? Why would you encourage people to cripple their own education by excessant use of readily-available solutions?
Making a page which will not easily succumb to attacks is easy, and the person responsible for umu.ac.ug must be extraordinarily incompetent.
