That some mac fanboys are linux fanboys too. As if that would somehow
justify cross-posting. If a user likes Linux, he's on the LUG mailing list.
If Mac, he joins the hypothetical future Mac mailing list. If both, he
joins both!

The only Mac-related thread which MIGHT be tolerable on an LUG mailing list
is the announcement of a newly-formed Mac mailing list, because that will
lead to fewer off-topic threads in the future.
