Apple has proven to be a very evil company through their recent court actions.
So, off-topic issue aside, I suggest that we all try to avoid doing anything to
promote their products or development ecosystem here or anywhere else.

Sorry to see that a simple and clearly indicated OT post of information that I
thought was in the interest of the people on the list resulted in this
discussion.

I will consider and reconsider carefully before posting such information again.

I consider the resource posting good for general knowledge (they are c
programming tutorials).
iOS programming doesn't score the same as iOS jailbreaking or troubleshooting
-- or does it?

That aside, the post subject contained an "[OT]" which i believe is polite
enough (you can optionally do subject filtering to shove OT messages to
/dev/null).

This is a linux list BUT if you dig in our mailing list archives, you will
notice so many "[OT]" postings (not necessarily Mac related, but got a good
welcome). Are we exercising double standards here?

As a member on this list, I don't mind informative postings (especially if they
aren't requests for help on a non open-source/Linux subject -- that’s the line
i draw). And if i don't like the posting, i ignore it and don't dignify it with
a response (its a mental /dev/null redirect and it works great. I highly
recommend this hack.).
