1. I completely agree. However, physical size doesn't really matter as much as resolution. Unfortunately, that machine fails even there! 2. My host (Xubuntu) and my two VMs (one Windows, one Ubuntu Server) shares my 4GB of RAM, and I don't even need to swap. I'm not sure why your setup seems to break a sweat. 3. Over here, keeping media locally is starting to get outmoded. Depending on developer, we usually either use a commercial streaming service or just mount our home server shares over the Internet. I can see why that would be a problem in the field with little or no connection to the Internet, but then the SSD comes in handy as it is less sensitive to physical shocks and the like.
My own little gripe with that computer is the fact that it has an SSD. SSDs are way too immature to be used commercially. To say nothing of too friggin' expensive!
