Kyle,
True, since the use is basically email and a few online applications it works. And with a little bandwidth management, use of POP (MS Outlook) and now I am going to encourage him to setup an IP Cop installation to cache windows updates, use Squid I think they will do well. I have 80 users on 1Mbps. It ain't perfect, but a little per-host bandwidth management keeps things humming along nicely :) On Oct 15, 2012 4:50 PM, "[email protected]" <[email protected]> wrote: Even if there is no abuse, 30 people on 2Mbit is a bit poor. sanga collins <[email protected]> wrote: It will not per-say improve internet performance. All it does is improve signal strength which can improve connectivity. I think the real problem may be 30 people sharing a 2Mbps internet connection. He probably has a few users abusing the connection for non-work related surfing and/or streaming. On Mon, Oct 15, 2012 at 9:32 AM, Stephen S. My question is, if it improves performance, what is the reason behind the improvement? If so then adding another wifi route with the same SSID on different channels should help reduce the problem. On Mon, Oct 15, 2012 at 9:14 AM, Stephen S.
