The combination of Kernel 3.7 and Samba 4 is truly going to put some groove back to my life.
We have struggled for some time with transfering large files over SMB. Hopefully this will improve with 3.7. Also having to remember to run my SMB/CIFS clients in compatibility mode is going to be a thing of the past. I hope Fedora or Opensuse or Ubuntu roll out a distro soon with the two game changers. In the meantime, I am going to have some fun building a custom distro this weekend. F.
