i don't think you need a POS solution, but rather a cash tray.

For a better investment (if you or me had that kind of money), you could
look at a demographics tool/software, locate strategic points in UG/East
Africa, look for the relevant licenses, place vending machines in each of
those spots, each one having an attendant with the relevant change she/he
throws in it on behalf of clients with big notes so it dispenses the coke
cans, water bottles, etc and you make sure there is no fake bottled water
in there :)

The vending machines can be inter-connected using any TCP/IP based network
provider, items loaded into them overnight, stokes taken everyday via your
POS solution, etc (of course this does not come free, there are bumpy
roads in K'la for high distribution costs, power may be an enemy to you in
terms of timely delivery, but you can always leverage Solar Thermal, coz
Solar PV may not do what you want, yet it also works and i think the
cheapest internet package in Uganda costs almost $10 for 500MB of
bandwidth)

Once set up properly, you are on your way to becoming a rich man (want to
