Hi Bruce, You sound like a motivational speaker already. However, without a sense of direction you will lead people astray.
As a student, a potential apprentice: you still need direction in the sense of interests you have passion about. Your master/teacher can only help you improve and sharpen you and perhaps teach some new tricks. New things can only be taught in the direction of the interest shown or if your teacher can identify your talents easily which you seem not make easy outright. If this is a project, you must know where you want or dream to take the project. Share a vision with direction. You will get people who like the vision and will work with you to accomplish.
