Just a note I took over 90 minutes trying to find out why an IMAP install was not working on port 993 before landing on link like this one
https://www.reddit.com/r/netsec/comments/3kfc8y/apple_ios_and_yosemite_mail_app_no_support_for/ mail.app uses last century's TLSv1 not even 1.1 or 1.2 So to cater for Apple products when setting up IMAP servers please lower your security expectations and include TLSv1 Very sad, probably the NSA told them to do it!
