Even the currently shipping Lustre 1.4.9 has support for infiniband of many flavours. Looking at this PDF, I don't see anything that would be unsupported by Lustre, though it is best to use the PPC64 kernel with Lustre as our mixed 32- and 64-bit kernel/user support is lacking. We'd be happy to hear any results you could share with us.
