Hi,

Thanks for Your answers I realized that this file is nod needed after digging out some HA tutorials. However lustre 1.6 manual is a little misleading on that subject as it mentions this file couple of times.

Cheers

Hi,

I am configuring lustre (1.6.2) with failover based on HA heartbeat. In chapter-Failover of the lustre manual I can see couple of references to lustre init script /etc/init.d/lustre I can not find this script in given location. Could someone tell me where to find this script or provide with template that I can adapt for my purposes?

That script is no longer shipped for 1.6.x releases as it's not needed. All one needs to do to start lustre on a 1.6 server is mount the device. Heartbeat has a built-in mechanism to support mounting devices on failover. See http://manual.lustre.org/manual/ LustreManual16_HTML/DynamicHTML-08-1.html for more details.
