When I was a child and would get an occasional ear ache my mother would 
treat it with something sold in drugstores called Sweet Oil. I later found 
out this was nothing more than olive oil. This is probably the lowest grade 
olive oil, the stuff you wouldn't cook with and that has no fragrance as 
the higher quality virgin or extra virgin stuff.
