Dear Manolo, I think it is a common misbelieve that all or most classical guitarists are playing with a "strange and unnatural right- hand-at-right-angle position". At least in my part of the world there aren't any. If you are aiming at a right angle between fingers and strings, it is indeed most usefull when playing thumb-out _without_ nails (like lutenists do on post-1600 instruments for example) to achieve a better sound. But if you think of the hand-arm angle, it depends mostly on the angle you hold the instrument (guitar _or_ lute). If you really want to, you can play rather comfortably like this as long as your wrist is relaxed and arched. BTW, one of the strangest and most unnatural playing positions I have seen is the cross-legged and round-backed renissance lute position of some players ;-) Regards, Stephan
