My first lute was a Kellischek that I bought in 1982.  It had lute pegs, not
machine heads.  It did indeed have nut rollers, which worked very well.
Their only disadvantage was that there was no way to adjust the nut spacing.
It was not a heavy instrument, but it was a bit clunky-sounding.  Not a bad
entry-level instrument.
