Thank you Richard and Rainer. Wow, many versions. Now this is getting
interesting. I'd still like to determin which one I have.Let me
describe this a bit more and see if you know which version it is. I'm
traveling now in the States and don't have all my music to compare it
to, but it is in modern typesetting and the ciphers look similar to
the Poulton Dowland. There are 106 measures. It's for 7 course. From
around m. 58-65 there are runs in the bass, then again bass runs
from m.75-88.
Looking at this carefully, I may be mistaken about there having been
a score with it originally. This is a photocopy. There are tape marks
going down the sides on the first page but not the second. However,
Robert (I'm sure I must have gotten this from Robert Clancy, my old
roomate in Basil) was expert at cutting stuff up and making
performance editions, so I don't know. There are measure numbers in
boxes but they are so faint I can't make them out. Which one of the
many versions brought to light fits the bill?
TIA
