David,

Have a look at this link: http://www-bnus.u-strasbg.fr/smt/sommaire.htm för
manuscript sources.

Ämne: [LUTE] extended Brown?

Is there something like Howard Mayre Brown's book for instrumental music
printed _after_ 1600? And for manuscript sources? Of course I have RISM VII,

but without tables of content for each manuscript it's not as comlete as
Brown's book. I'd love to have a list of all books and manuscripts with lute

music, with the content of each volume and several alphabetical indexes
(titles, composers, etc.). Is there perhaps already enough information in
individual lists, so one database could be made to search through all tables

of content?

David - surrounded by books and lists to find the few Victoria pieces for
lute/vihuela ...
