In my archlute (Barber 1987) I use 0.45 Pyramid nylon chanterelle, works well in G (tuning a'=440Hz), nearly 4.5 Kg, feels good, sounds good. I think the matter (feeling, sounding) depends also much on the construction of the instrument, not only on those "scientific" parameters...
