Alain, check out www.clarsach.net for some examples of what a wire- strung harp sounds like. Look for Siobhan Armstrong in particular. She is a very fine wire-strung player. You'll find her arrangement of Campion's "Shall I come sweet love to thee?" Ann Heymann also is fantastic. The technique in wire-strung playing involves damping the strings as you go, making for a very different approach to the music than the "Neo-Celtic" folk harp of the 19th-century type.
