"Sorry, Mark,

Who is that teacher?
I've been there, but I'm short of imagination today Sunday lunch time...

Saludos,

Ariel"

Sting says on his homepage that Richard Levitt gave him lessons for the
project.

What I find extremely strange is the quote from Peter Holman that sting is
using to promote this CD

"In my opinion his approach is likely to be closer to what Dowland would have
expected than that of mainstream concert singers."

Now of course the question is what is a mainstream concert singer ?
If he means a modern operatic then then sting may sound nearer to an
elizabethan singer, but if he means singers such as Emma Kirkby or Evelyn Tubb
then I
hope he got an awful lot of money before he stabbed Early Music in the back.

I would have loved to have a good CD from Sting and I have nothing against
"the boy from sarejevo" but I hope it awakens an interest in this music and
then
we have the job to show how it should be done.

best wishes
Mark
