I suspect your ears are an issue. Having said that some major record labels have at one time or another released recordings by Lola Bobescu, Paul Esswood, Andea von Ramm, John Butt, ensemble Sanssouci of Padua et al., and closer to home: Klaus Oesterreicher, Robin Todey, Toyohico Satoh and Terrell Stone, with Oesterreicher taking the cake of embarassment.
Sting/Karamazov have nothing to be embarassed about. Some of my favorite CD's are of actors singing, like Gizela May, Nis Bank-Mikkelsen, Fred Aackestroem, Martin Bagge, Marjana Sadovska etc. S/K sound perfectly in place.
