Thanks once more Roman.  Again tho' it looks too small for the early form (ie 
late 17th/early 18thC) of the instrument mentioned by contemporary sources 
which are probably closer to  the extant (perhaps atypical in some features) 
Schorn of 1688.
   
  This picture is closer to the small German mid/late 18thC type (tho' single 
strung). What is its date and precise place of origin wld you say?
