I thought the English word was awful. ;-) I agree with Roman that there are many lousy singers without any emotion in the baroque business. And Bartoli's temperament and passion is for sure brilliant. But I was under the impression that the coloraturas were meant to be sung at a certain pitch and not barked. Ok, it is a matter of taste.
