I am truly sorry if you feel offended, my comments were not meant to be at
all. I was surprised at your confusion, especially bearing in mind an
earlier exchange we had when you asked a similar question and received a
similar answer. It was just to make things clear: chords on a lute are just
like chords on a guitar, all you have to do is take the difference in tuning
into account. If you're uncomfortable in thinking notes on a lute, go back
to your guitar with the capo to see it more clearly. Get your guitar chord
charts out, move all dots on the third string one up and add a minor third
to the name of the chord. No sarcasm intended, but plain and simple advice.

I hope I do not show an elite attitude towards guitarist for whom the lute
is a second instrument, as most of us here started on the guitar, as I did
myself, and still play it, as I do myself.
