Dear Anthony, I've been using the Silbermann 1/6 tho the Vallotti may be close. It may be that the frets and strings happened to work better the day I did a quick comparison, I don't know. The 1/4 meantone was delicious, btw.
The laptop mic works fine if there isn't much other noise around you. The Korg clip might work if you've got a telephone jack <-> mini jack (a headphone adapter) to connect it through the mic input. I haven't done this. It's not always convenient to use a laptop though.
