David
Also the better known the pieces (the more melodically and
rhythmically predictable), the easier it would be to follow for the
public, even in adverse conditions.

What to you mean by "With a lute, we bring our own acoustics," I sort
of understand, but could you develop this?
When you say "I always
> feel. A guitar is much harder to play effectively outside."
you are obviously not talking simply about projection (or are you)?
my first reaction to that, is that Flamenco guitar might contradict
you, but I imagine you are speaking about classical gutar.
Do you mean that the lute danse repertoire, like Flamenco, (in fact),
is more suitable for outdoor performance than classical guitar
repertoire, or are you speaking about the attitude of the listeners,
when confronted by the lute as opposed to the guitar.
I am probably making too much of what is perhaps just a passing remark.
Congratulations anyway, David, on what seems to have been a very
entertaining day-out, even with carbon strings (I trust these were at
least Savarez KF, preferably sandpapered, which seem to be the most
gut-like carbon alternative, from what I have been hearing on this
list).
Best regards
Anthony
