I was just amused that the BBC described the work as "the real
McCoy." Since we have the "real McCoy" right here. That doesn't
sound like the BBC I knew.<g>

If you can get hold of today's Daily Telegraph (Tuesday 27th
November), you will see on p.30 a recently-discovered
picture
of a 6c cittern painted by Antiveduto Grammatica. It was to
have featured in a show in New York, but it now seems that
it
will appear (for sale) in the Robilant and Voena Gallery in
Dover Street, London.
Also in the putative New York show was "Apollo the lute
player"
by Caravaggio, but it seems this is not going to appear yet.
When it does, it will probably be under the auspices of
Clovis
Whitfield of Old Bond Street.
Exciting stuff....
