A ten course lute. Piccinini and the start of archlute is a bit later, but it should not be a reason NOT to use an archlute. I would use the instrument which case is nearby or already in your hands.

I agree with Taco in both. Usually I also play K. by 10-courser, but while recording the two pieces I was in the mood for archlute... :-)
