Just a reminder about LSA West, which is in Vancouver BC from July 26
to Aug 31. The Faculty are: Bob Barto, Nigel North, Jacob Heringman,
Pat O'Brien, and Grant Tomlinson (who will be the Lute Doctor and also
teach a course on lute construction and a workshop on lute
maintenance). Courses are:
Barto: Baroque lute topics
Baroque lute Masterclass
North: 17th century French Baroque Lute Music
The English Lute c.1610
Heringman: Playing Counterpoint on the Lute
Renaissance lute Masterclass
O'Brien: Baroque guitar
Early 17th century song.
Tomlinson: Lute construction
There will also be a variety of special events and every student will
receive two private lessons. The workshop is open to anyone who is
