First, before you do anything, try the youtube bulk upload plugin.
You may have to install google gears first. that should solve the problem.
Make sure you have the latest version of QT as a number of versions
of QT have compression bugs of various sorts. I never use QT, but it
can work well.
Bascally, as far as youtube goes, it can accept a variety of formats
but is happiest with H264, which the latest version of QT supports.
However, the Zoom Q3 is a VGA device,so the native file format is
MPEG4 SD. That probably is H264 but not high definition. It may use a
proprietary codec.

Lastly, it could simply be that there was an error in the upload.
In order to troubleshoot the above issue make a ten or twenty second
video. Select "private" so it will not be distributed (alwats a good
idea, should you need to redo it)
Upload that. If that works, it probably is a network issue, Make sure
you are not using wireless to upload the video.
If it does not work, try a different output. Even though the video is
not HD, select 1080 x720 (720p) H264.
If that fails, use yousendit to send me a small sample and I will be
happy to analyse the codec.
Best
