Dear Stephen and Sandi, This is dreadful news - thanks very much for letting the list know about this. I'm wondering if it may not be possible to get a petition going that we could present to the V &A directorate, one that may make them reconsider this decision. There are obviously several hundred of us on this list, and if we include other lists as well (such as the AMS list, etc.) we could probably make some impact. This collection is one of the greatest gatherings of musical instruments in the world, and it is certainly worth fighting to save. What does this list think?
