As I recall from a different set of photos of the same instrument that were circulated 1-2 years ago: the shell and neck from the rear looked pretty old and authentic. The soundboard is new for sure.

Whatever that is it doesn't look as the work of Joh. Christian Hoffmann, neither the body no the rest. The label is either a fake or was re-planted from a genuine Hoffmann's lute / viol; the former, perhaps, is more likely.
