Yes - that is true. I managed to pursuade their librarian to let me look at Bob's copy of the earliest surviving copy of Millioni's guitar book but she declined to let me look at his copy of Corbetta's 1674 book which includes the second guitar part. She said they would try to buy the facsimile - which I already have.
Neither of these are in the British Library. And in both cases their catalogue entries were incorrect. I have now supplied the correct information - and they might update the entries somtime.... Dear Monica, Yes, but it's rather more difficult getting access or copies. Considering Bob's generosity to many of us it's all rather a shame and probably not what he had in mind. You can access their catalogue on line from the RAM site. Dear Luca RISM lists this, which might be what you mean: Woodfor Green, privatbibliothek Robert Spencer Ms. ohne Signature (I) It's a MS that used to be in the private library of Robert Spencer (where did Bob's books go, Royal College?), before that in the private libary of A. Cortot. French tab, 6 lines, for lute, and 5 lines for Mandora. Ca 1720. It has a stamp on folio 1r: Bohush Sorry, no help, really.
