Dear Lutenetters,
Those of you with very good memories indeed will recall me begging for the
lute tab for Betrachte and Erwaege from the St John Passion, which I rashly
agreed to play for a friend's concert on Palm Sunday, 28th March. I've just
about got those two bits under my fingers, although they are pretty tricky.
As someone (David van O?) predicted, the conductor would eventually get
round to asking me to play in more arias than just those two. I confidently
said that I would stand my ground and refuse, but evidently I am weaker than
I thought. So if anyone has prepared any tablature editions of other
sections of the SJP that they would be willing to share, it would save me
the time of having to make my own tablature versions and would be hugely
appreciated!
