Exactly. Well, it's fun to do, and it is always nice to work from facsimiles. But yes, I could do it a hundred times faster in French tab. It has always been a no-go area for me, or even no-reason-to-go, but I'm taking an interest in early German lute music, and it seemed the respectful thing to do, and not without interest.
